Show.IO ("we", "us") provides conference booth software and a companion mobile app for sales and event teams. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It covers the Show.IO web app at app.tryshow.io and the Show.IO mobile apps for iOS and Android (bundle ID io.tryshow.app).

1. Who this is for

Show.IO is a business product. Our customers are companies that run or staff conferences and events. End users are typically employees of those companies (reps, coordinators, admins). If you use Show.IO through your employer, your company's administrator controls your account and the data your team captures.

2. Information we collect

  • Account data — email address, name, company affiliation, and authentication credentials (sessions stored securely; passwords handled by our auth provider).
  • Conference & contact data — attendee/contact records your team creates or imports (name, company, title, email, phone, LinkedIn URL, notes, meeting and follow-up status).
  • Badge scans (mobile)— still images of printed badges captured with the device camera. On-device OCR extracts text and barcodes; images and extracted fields may be stored and synced to your company's workspace.
  • Voice notes — audio recordings you capture about conversations, plus transcripts and AI-extracted follow-up fields when that feature is enabled.
  • Device & usage data — app version, approximate network status (online/offline), and operational logs needed to keep sync reliable. We do not sell advertising profiles.
  • Offline device storage — roster cache, outbox queue, and session tokens stored on the device (SQLite / Keychain / Keystore) so booth capture works without a network.

3. How we use information

  • Provide the Show.IO product: capture, sync, search, follow-up, and analytics for your company.
  • Authenticate users and protect accounts.
  • Transcribe voice notes and assist with research/follow-up when you use those features.
  • Maintain, secure, and improve the service (including debugging sync failures).
  • Communicate about the product (support, security notices, service changes).

We do not sell personal information.

4. Camera and microphone

The mobile app requests camera access to photograph badges and microphone access to record voice notes. Access is used only when you start a scan or recording. You can revoke permissions in system settings; scanning and voice capture will stop working until re-enabled.

5. Sharing

We share data only as needed to run the service:

  • Within your company— teammates and admins in your Show.IO organization can see conference data according to your company's roles and permissions.
  • Service providers — infrastructure and processing partners (for example hosting, database, authentication, and AI transcription) under contractual obligations to protect data.
  • Legal — if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users and Show.IO.

6. Retention

We retain account and conference data while your company's workspace is active and as needed to provide the service. Company admins can request deletion of their organization's data by contacting support. Offline device caches can be cleared by signing out or uninstalling the app.

7. Security

Data in transit uses HTTPS. Mobile sessions are stored in the iOS Keychain / Android Keystore. Access to customer data in our systems is restricted and scoped by company (row-level security). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; report concerns to support@tryshow.io.

8. Children

Show.IO is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. International transfers

Show.IO may process data in the United States and other countries where our providers operate. If you access the service from outside those regions, you consent to that transfer as part of using the product.

10. Your choices

  • Update profile information in the app or web product.
  • Ask your company admin to correct or delete conference/contact records.
  • Sign out to clear the mobile session from the device.
  • Contact us to exercise applicable privacy rights for your region.
